Flash Drives

Hey guys,

Just something I noticed during proposals is that a lot of people don't remove their flash drives correctly. You can lose data and kill your flash drive if you don't (I had a student that lost his proposal and another that killed her flash drive).

To correctly remove a flash drive, go to the panel of buttons on the lower right corner of the screen (by the clock) and click the icon with the green arrow (you may need to hit the arrow to show hidden icons). A gray box with the words "Safely remove USB mass storage device - Drive (E)" (or something similar to that) will pop up. Click on you flash drive. Wait for a bubble with "Safe To Remove Hardware) to pop up and take out your flash drive (the light should be off).
